I needed weather indicator for my Gnome3 desktop. But I couldn't compile gnome-shell-extension-weather on my machine. So I tried http://fpmurphy.com/gnome-shell-extensions/weather-1.1.tar.gz. This one needed an API key from http://www.worldweatheronline.com. I got it, but in the README file it is mentioned that I should provide a US ZIPCODE.
After a while I found that instead of providing a ZIPCODE, I can set ZIPCODE to "Tehran" and that worked well for me.
Now I have a weather indicator/forecast for my Gnome3 desktop.
